Jesus Land is a wonderful book, perhaps the best I've read in a while. I couldn't put it down because of Julia Scheeres' details and the struggles of Julia and David. I wanted to cry for them, protect them, and yell at their unloving mother. I am even using Scheeres' technique of the journal style entry at the end of each chapter in the rough draft of my own memoir. We'll see if it works as well for me as for her. I am also raelly excited to read everyone's memoirs - I know from last semester that some of you are quite talented writers, and I'm sure the rest of you are too!
